Recipe: Healthy-ish PopcornSubmitted by: JennaHometown: Virginia, MinnesotaWhat do you love about this recipe?I really love this recipe because it's so easy to make. And if you don't eat it all, you can bag it for a snack later. Ghee can last a month without refrigeration, so I love taking it on camping trips. I made it when I was on a road trip last summer in Montana.Healthy-ish PopcornIngredientsCorn kernelsGhee butterTurmericCuminCayenneSaltInstructionsStep 1Grab a medium-sized pot with a lid and put it over whatever heat source you have. Add at least a few tablespoons of ghee and one corn kernel into the pot. Cover with lid.Step 2Once the single kernel pops, add more kernels. They should cover the bottom of the pot. Replace the lid. Make sure you shake the pot a few times so nothing burns.Step 3Once the kernels have all popped, take the pot off the heat and dump your popcorn into a bowl. Add about 1/2 a tablespoon of turmeric, 1/2 a tablespoon of cumin and a pinch of cayenne. Sprinkle with salt to taste. Mix with your hands or a utensil. You can add more ghee if you like a lot of butter. Just melt it and pour it on top, then mix.
