Warm Weather Tent

Kindle Error 505 2023-07-12 00:00:00

This is easy to put up with no "tied" connections. The bungie at the top makes it easy to put the poles up, and the clip ups work well. The rainfly clips into the pole attachment points. The carry bag is just slightly larger than necessary making it easy to pack away but not too bulky. The problems: the 2 straps that hold the rolled tent are thread-through straps. While they can be pulled tight to condense the tent, they will eventually get torn up and hard to use when they get dirty. Buckle clips would have been MUCH BETTER, and don't cost much more. The side walls are mesh. They are covered with the rain fly. BUT, the area above the door and the window on the opposite wall are also mesh. The rainfly does not cover them. This tent will not hold up to rain unless it is very light, and there is no wind. In a real rainstorm, like a summer mountain storm, the inside would be drenched. So even summer use would require an additional tarp to cover it.Also, the tent does not hold heat. I would not recommend this if the temperature is below 50 degrees.

Fantastic Purchase!

It took my teens and I about 5-10 minutes to set up with only 4 poles. We've had it up all week, and it's survived 30 mph winds and pelting rain. There's enough room for three queen sized airbeds, or two with plenty of space for gear. I would recommend getting new spikes though, since high winds will yank the little metal ones right up out of the wet ground. Rain can get in if it's windy - through the narrow space between the door cover opening along the sides. Otherwise, this is the best tent I've had in a long time! I highly recommend it!

Only ONE Magnet on the Door

Devon 2022-09-20 00:00:00

Maybe I missed this somewhere, but a big draw for us for this tent was the information about the magnetic closure on the door. However, there is only ONE magnet in the lower corner of where the side meets the bottom of the door. We will be placing our own magnets around the remainder of the doorway. That being said, the tent is fairly simple to set up- not as quick as an instant/ pop up, but put it together myself in about 30 minutes the first time, and took my fiance and I about 15 minutes together. Disassembling was about the same. The tent had enough room for a queen sized air mattress to be pushed to one side, and leave standing room for changing and storing our belongings. Only other negative is if you're somewhere with high humidity at night (like we have in Michigan), the ventilation causes the tent to get very humid as well even with the rain fly on, which dampened our sheets and made it a bit uncomfortable at night. Not sure you could really use this without the rain fly, but overall for the price and quality of the item, we are satisfied with the purchase.

Excellent tent for family of 5 + 1 dog!

SusieS 2022-07-02 00:00:00

This tent has held up great so far. We have gone on 4 camping trips in the past 5 weeks and got rained on twice. The second time we woke up to an unexpected thunderstorm. The tent kept us dry. We are also in the mountain west, where even in June, nights get chilly. This tent has kept us warm. I don’t believe it’s rated for winter, but for chilly summer nights, with good sleeping bags, you will be comfortable. Easy to assemble and take down. My kids love this tent - it’s nice and roomy, and I love that we can actually stand up in it. Highly recommend!

Zipper broke after four uses

rg 2023-06-26 00:00:00

We were originally pretty happy with this tent outside of the lack of windows. The size for packing it in the car was perfect. The size of the tent was perfect for our family and it was easy to assemble. The bag was super annoying to get the tent into and it wasn't as sturdy as we wanted it to be, but for what we paid we were happy. Then the zipper broke this last use. It isn't completely broken, but the tension on the top left corner of the tent is causing the zipper to only close properly sometimes. I don't see anything about a warranty so we will probably end up having to buy a new one.It doesn't save much to camp instead of get a hotel if you have to pay 200+ dollars for a new tent every other year.
