I got a size up for what I normally wear because I wanted extra room in the belly area as well as the arm area.I can NEVER understand why, when you make things for us plus size people, you do NOT plus size the arms? But, that being said, I love the quality. I love how you can shove this into a bag or backpack for a sudden rain storm. I love the attached hood with little ties to make the hood tighter around the head. I love the zippered pockets, it’s really nice that it’s lined and that you can push up the sleeves. When you push up the sleeves, it doesn’t feel as tight on my upper arms.I intend to wear this in Florida weather, so, having the sleeves pushed up or down doesn’t matter much. I know that Columbia has great quality and that it’s made well and waterproof. I will be testing this for the Florida weather in September. In the meantime, I can test it for south east Pennsylvania weather. The last two days have been like Florida here. I might edit this review with the results at a later date.

Just returned from a two week Alaska cruise. The weather was in the mid 40's and rainy most every day and these jackets (one for me, one for the wife) were a Godsend on so many levels. 10 hours in moderate rain one day, 5 hours in windy rain another, off and on rain most other days, Zip lining another, several times enjoying an Irish Coffee on the fan tail of the ship as the Orcas and Humpbacks breached. In each case these jackets kept us dry, acted as wind breakers and easily packed into my backpack when not in use.I wrote a short review on my grey one before we left for vacation saying how impressed I was by the protection I saw during driving rain in Ohio. I am when me impressed now. At that time I thought I would see these jackets as good for travel but maybe not so much for regular use as they do feel pretty thin. I am completely convinced otherwise. They have proven to be very durable and more than capable.I would still caution that they do nothing to protect from the cold apart from their excellent use as wind breakers. As part of a good layered clothing approach these make an excellent choice.

I love this jacket the other reviews had me doubtful but so far so good it fits so well I got a medium and I'm 5'4 130 pounds and it fits perfectly go with your gut on the sizing. As far as it's waterproof capabilities, I have not been able to test it out yet, but the material seems that it will be able to handle some rain.

I spend a lot of time reading reviews before buying things online so I hope this helps you make your decision about this jacket too. I used this for the very first time the other day, on a motorcycle ride for about 2 1/2 hours where at least half of the ride it was pouring down on us. This jacket didn’t let a drop of water get inside! If that isn’t a testament to how well this will protect you, idk what is. Great product!

I received this jacket, and was a bit confused on figuring out how this packs into itself. This was the primary reason for my purchase, as I will be traveling with it and needed a packable rain jacket. I am 5’4”, 125 lbs with an athletic build, and I purchased a size Small. This jacket fit nicely, and is a slim fit but could also wear layers underneath. My jacket did not mark one of the pockets as “packable” as they do in some of the reviewers photos, but I simply turned the left pocket inside out and started pushing the fabric in, and it zipped up nicely as shown in my photo.
